Come and experience this magnificent city with your own driver guide. Let me transport you through the beautiful Georgian New Town, built in the 18th C, famous for its glorious architecture. Thereafter travel back in time as we explore the unforgettable Old Town, where history awaits you at every corner- a history filled with majesty, horror, adventure and mystery.

Drive up the Royal Mile, glimpsing famous filming venus for both Outlander and Harry Potter. Look up towards the magnificent castle and stand in awe in front of the Royal Palace of Holyrood House, the official residence of his Majesty the King in Scotland.

You will enjoy unforgettable, panoramic views over the entire city from the top of Calton Hill, where you will also see some of Scotland's most iconic monuments and buildings. It's magical!

Itinerary

Begin your tour with a drive through the Georgian New Town of Edinburgh, stopping frequently for photos. Learn about this quintessential British style of architecture and why it was built.
Travel up to the top of the iconic Calton Hill to enjoy unparalleled views over the city and of several memorable monuments.
Drive towards the Old Town and allow yourself to be transported back to a time when myths and legends prevailed; when witches were burned at the stake, where the poor often lived in closes many of which are still buried beneath the Old Town.
Wander down a section of the Royal Mile and maybe enjoy a wee dram of whisky or a draught ale. Visit filming locations for both Harry Potter and Outlander.
Drive past the magnificent Royal Palace of Holyrood House and through the historic Grassmarket, from where you can enjoy impressive views up towards Edinburgh Castle.

Meeting Point Options: Cruise Ship Port, Hotel, Suggested by Guide: Only Hotels within Edinburgh city centre. Upon confirmation of the tour, I will be in touch to suggest an appropriate meeting place, preferably at your hotel. Cruise passengers please note that I only offer this half day tour from either the Port of Leith or Newhaven Harbour. Hotel and airport transfers are not included. Should your ship be unable to dock or be delayed, my fee will not be refunded. Please therefore take out comprehensive travel insurance.
